Recoil

It is the first national circular economy initiative for the comprehensive management and treatment of used lubricant oils and containers.

The objective is to give them a new life and contribute to environmental protection.

With the invaluable support of the Ministry of Environment and Water, Recoil emerged as a private initiative led by the members of APEL (Ecuadorian Association of Lubricant Producers) in collaboration with SAMBITO. Together, we have successfully established an efficient management system for used lubricating oils and containers.

Since its inception, Recoil has collected and managed over 9.2 million gallons of used lubricat oil and 350 tons of containers.

20,000 generation sites, 40 associated brands, and 6 nationwide managers.

In compliance with Ministerial Agreement 042, companies invest $0.04 per gallon through ECOVALOR, a financing mechanism aimed at ensuring environmental protection through the management of used lubricat oils and empty containers.

We have a traceability platform where companies can register their generation sites and request waste collection in just one click. This application is available in both mobile and desktop versions.
